Easter Weekend

Somebunny was a good boy this year!

Easter weekend was busy and tons of fun even with the rainy weather.
We spent Saturday at Granny's and Papa's farm. Cooper had a great time blowing bubbles with Granny on the deck.

Easter morning was a treat...stormy weather kept us inside to play with our darling boy! He had a blast picking through his Easter basket and playing with every toy. A big thank you to Nana Jana and Grandpa Andy for the little addition to the loot. He loves art time at his new art desk. Finger painting is still a little interesting since he doesn't care for getting his hands dirty. Ha!

His reaction to his loot! Priceless expressions from this one.

The Easter Bunny paid Cooper a visit to make sure he enjoyed his goody basket.

Too pooped to play anymore! That's where I come in. That's right...all of that has its place believe it or not.

After a quick nap, we headed to Great Grandma Mary's for an Easter dinner and indoor Easter egg hunt. Cooper and Mason had a great time playing Ring-Around-The-Rosie and hunting Easter eggs in the living room.

We hope you all had a wonderful Easter with your families!

Mommy's & Daddy's Vegas Vacation

Mommy and Daddy finally took a trip away from "Baby Cooper"! Okay, yes, I realize Cooper is not a baby anymore, and it is verging on ridiculous that we have not been away from him for more than a night at a time. I'm not going to lie, this trip was not easy for me to take. However, I'm glad we went, and we had a great time with our dear friends, The Rogers!

We ended up staying at Treasure Island. It was a beautiful hotel in a very nice spot on the strip.

We definitely stayed busy the entire time we were there. We arrived on Thursday and took a little tour of the strip, had a few drinks along the way, etc. etc.

Then, Friday, we did a little shopping, visited the TI pool and took in a show. We saw Beatles Love, and might I say...it was AMAZING!! I would definitely recommend it if you are in the market for a ridiculously priced activity. It was totally worth it though!!

Saturday was our final full day in Vegas, and we took a trip out to the Hoover Dam. This was definitely a sight to see. I recommend seeing it at least once. That's right, go put that on your 'Bucket List'.

Lastly, Saturday night after a little rest from our tour, we had a steak dinner in the Ghetto aka Circus, Circus. Then, we took an extremely terrifying taxi trip to Fremont. It was a little nostalgic to see 'Old Vegas'.

So, it a nut shell...VIVA LAS VEGAS!!

Snow Days

Yesterday, Cooper was scared of the snow. Today, he woke up and immediately wanted to go play in the snow. So, he and I proceeded to put layers of clothing on and take a few minutes to play outside this morning. It must be love when a mom would go out into the freezing cold to play in snow before having coffee or breakfast.

Cooper learned how to throw snowballs even though this wasn't really the snow for it.

The snowballs just fell apart in the air. However, this didn't stop him from trying.

I then had to shovel a path to Cooper's playhouse because the snow was too deep for him to walk across the yard. By the time we got there, I was sweating and didn't even realize that it was close to freezing outside. After the subzero temperatures we've been having, it felt like we were having a heat wave anyways!

Cooper decided that he loved snow!! He realized that it was a little like a snow cone or ice cream. So, he proceeded to have a taste!

And, he LOVED it!! Of course, Daddy had to ruin his fun with the responsibility aspect and how the snow could have bacteria in it and make him sick. So, he didn't get more than just a taste.

A few tears later, he made the daunting trip back to the house. Or, did he eat his way there and back???

The snow is finally starting to melt today. I'm sure we will get it half way melted just in time for our next storm on Tuesday!
In case you didn't know, we moved to the arctic...
 ...or so it feels.
